to_float
Builtin index · Collections & strings
result = to_float(x)
Input: x · Output: result
What it is
x is a number, a Bool (giving 1/0), or a Str that parses as one. The parsing half of to_int without the rounding — mostly for turning text read from a file or an instrument into a number. A string that is not a number, or a value of any other type, is a clear error rather than a 0.
