heatmap(matrix, [colormap=])

Input: matrix, colormap · Output: no output

What it is

Grid of colored cells: matrix is a Mat, each cell coloured by its own value scaled to the matrix's own min/max. colormap= (string, default "blues") picks the palette.

Overloads

One call shape — this function is not overloaded.

Examples

From the documentation, and run by the build -- the output and the figure below are what the engine actually produced. Simplest first.

m = randn(10, 10, seed = 4)
heatmap(m, colormap="viridis")
colorbar
title("Random field")
print("value range: [" + str(min(m)) + ", " + str(max(m)) + "]")

How it works

heatmap(matrix, [colormap=]) — a grid of colored cells, scaled to the matrix's own min/max.

From the note above this builtin in the interpreter, where the reasoning was written down as it was built.
